In a historic building that respects the past, the interiors owe their understated luxury to the timeless contemporary furnishings chosen by the Mercer. These include outdoor furniture from Tribù’s Mood and Kos collections for the hotel’s rooftop terrace.
Pritzker Prize-winning architect Rafael Moneo spent four years revealing the layers of history inside the 5* boutique hotel Mercer Barcelona, from the 1st century Roman walls of the ancient city of Barcino to Medieval arches and frescoes. The harmony between ancient and modern, the cream stone walls and Moneo’s subtle additions are the perfect complement to Tribù’s timeless sophistication.
The terrace, with aromatic plants catching the breeze, is an oasis above the Gothic Quarter’s bustling streets, a place to read, relax and take a dip in the plunge pool. The Mercer selected elegant Kos Loungers for its guests as well as a cocooning Mood Daybed. Armchairs and coffee tables from the Mood collection complete the scene. As night falls, halos of light from Tribù’s lanterns create a romantic, intimate scene.
